Frequently asked questions about power points
Why are my lights working but not my power points?
In most homes lighting and power are on separate circuits. If your power points have tripped it means, there could be a faulty appliance or a faulty power point. Our team are highly experienced in fault finding and will be more than happy to assist you.
Why are there ants in my power points?
Ants like to find new homes and they like power points as they create a nice warm environment for them. They tend to like power points that are used the most.
In order to get rid of them you can try extermination, alternatively you can try and use an alternative plug, meaning you are removing their heat source. This will force the ants to find somewhere else to live.
Are there any rules for installing power points in my bathroom?
Yes, you need to have your power points installed approximately 300mm away from the edge of the basin. This is required in order to avoid any water getting into the power point.
